Aaron Rodgers’ legendary career will end at the end of this season.
Rodgers, 41, said he was “almost sure” that he was going to retire after this season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The future Hall of Famer signed a one -year contract with the Steelers in early June.
“I’m pretty sure that that’s all, that’s why we just made a year -old agreement. The Steelers did not need to take additional years on this subject or anything. It was really a question of finishing with great love and pleasure and peace for the career I had,” said Rodgers during a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”.

The NFL MVP quadruple MVP said that he was led to come back this season because of his love for the game rather than not wanting to retire after a disappointing two -year stay with the New York Jets.
“I think it’s not really” can’t go out like that. “It’s` `i love the game ” and there was a great relationship – it was my first love when I was six years old to dream of playing in a quarter and being in a super bowl and winning the Super Bowl,” said Rodgers.
The Steelers quarter-arre said that he had spoken to Tomlin every week in his entire free agency and that these conversations were “really significant” for him. Rodgers also said he didn’t “need” to go back to the field this season.

“I wanted to be there for Minicamp once I decided that I was going to be everything. I didn’t need it, I didn’t need it at all. I don’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone or that I don’t have a flea on my shoulder that I have to hold. I don’t want the attention,” said Rodgers.
The former packers star said that once his retirement, he will disappear from the public.
“When everything is done, it’s Keyser Söze, you won’t see me. I will not be in the public, I don’t want to live a public life. This is why it is so strange what is going on now with my private life, because I don’t want to live a life in the public.”
For his last season, Rodgers said he was going to “empty the tank” for the Steelers. “I will give the Steelers everything I obtained and empty the tank and be super comfortable and satisfied with everything that is going on,” said Rodgers.
“Obviously, we dream of playing at the highest level in the biggest games, but the fact that I can return to Pittsburgh, play for Mike (Tomlin), get to know the organization, make sure that a special franchise has had an incredible success.”
