The crown prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Islamabad for his first official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and First Lady Asefa Bhutto-Zardari welcomed the crown prince at the airport in the middle of the rainy weather on Thursday.
This visit underlines the fraternal links deeply rooted between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (Water) and reflects the common commitment to further strengthen the bilateral economic partnership, “said the spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Bureau on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Crown Prince will engage in vast interactions with the management of Pakistan, to exchange opinions on questions of mutual interest, strengthen historical obligations and promote economic and investment cooperation.
Several agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed during the visit to strengthen the robust framework existing for long -term collaboration in multiple facets areas.
On Wednesday, Pakistan and Uzbekistan signed several agreements on Wednesday aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in defense, technology, technical training and young people’s empowerment.
The agreements were signed during the two -day visit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Uzbekistan, during the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two countries have also agreed to work to extend bilateral trade to $ 2 billion.
After their bilateral meeting and their talks at the delegation level, Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Mirziyoyev witnessed several documents. These included agreements and memoranda of understanding in various sectors.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar and the Uzbek Foreign Affairs Minister, Bakhtiyor Sainov, exchanged documents related to travel without visa for diplomatic passport holders, military information, internal affairs, vocational and technical training and diplomat training.
