ACC tournament: Duke Cooper Flagg leaves the match with an injury

Duke defeated Georgia Tech 78-70 in the quarter-final of the ACC tournament on Thursday, but the biggest concern after the victory is the health of Cooper Flagg.

Duke’s first year student left the match in wheelchair first half after falling clumsily on his ankle.

Flagg jumped to get a rebound, and when he fell to the ground, he laid on his left ankle. He immediately hit the ground.

The recruit of six new feet allocated on the ground for a few moments before being helped by his teammates.

Flagg then drink towards the bench, clearly in distress, before sitting. After leaving the match, Flagg was placed in a wheelchair and taken to the locker room.

Despite the injury, Flagg returned to the locker room to encourage his teammates in the second half, but he did not return the match.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer said at his post-match press conference there was swelling in the ankle.

“He staggered his ankle. The radiographs were negative, which is great. We just have to see how he recovers and how he goes from there,” said Scheyer.
