- 80% of people would pay for Apple Intelligence, a survey revealed
- More than 50% of respondents would be happy to pay $ 10 per month or more
- The results are surprising given the history of Apple Intelligence’s struggles
Apple Intelligence has not received exactly elogious criticism since its announcement in the summer of 2024, with criticisms pointing to its delayed features and its disappointing performance compared to competitors like Chatgpt. However, this apparently did not dissuade consumers, with a new survey suggesting that a large number of people are attracted by the Apple artificial intelligence platform (via macrumors).
The survey was carried out by the investment company Morgan Stanley, and she found that one in two respondents would be willing to pay at least $ 10 per month (around £ 7.50 £ / 15 in / month) for unlimited access to Apple Intelligence. More specifically, 30% would accept payment between $ 10 and $ 14.99, while 22% agree to pay $ 15 or more. Only 14% of respondents did not want to pay anything for Apple Intelligence and 6% were not sure, which implies that 80% of people would not bother to do the service for the service.
According to 9TO5MAC, the survey revealed that 42% of people said that it was extremely important or very important that their next iPhone included Apple Intelligence, while 54% of respondents who planned to upgrade in the next 12 months said the same thing. Overall, the survey said that its results showed “the perception of consumers stronger than expected for Apple’s intelligence”.
Morgan Stanley’s survey interviewed around 3,300 people, and he says that the sample is representative of the United States population in terms of age, sex and religion.
Surprising results
If you follow Apple Intelligence, you will probably know that it is confronted with a fairly mute road in the months launched. On the one hand, he has received a lot of criticisms for his ability to carry out tasks for users, many people comparing it unfavorably to some of the best AI services like Chatgpt and Microsoft’s co -pilot.
In addition to that, Apple was forced to delay some of Apple Intelligence’s features, such as its ability to work in applications and understand what’s going on on the screen of your device. These are some of the most intriguing aspects of Apple Intelligence, but the strong promotion of these tools by Apple has not resulted in work features.
All this makes these survey results rather surprising, but there could be several reasons behind them. Maybe consumers are happy to have AI features on their Apple devices, even if they are missing some key aspects at the moment.
Or maybe people who were ready to pay for Apple Intelligence did it based on obtaining the full set of features, rather than the incomplete range of capacities currently available. Alternatively, everyday users could not have followed the difficulties of Apple Intelligence as much as experienced consumers and are therefore not aware of its early difficulties.
Whatever the reasons, it is interesting to see how many people are still attracted by Apple Intelligence. It will be encouraging reading for Apple, which has been faced with a lot of press for its AI system, and could suggest that Apple Intelligence is not as bad as we could have thought.
