- The folding iPhone is apparently another step
- Apple can be about to choose a display provider
- Previously, Apple had struggled to find a satisfactory display
Apple did not officially say that there was a folding iPhone on the way, but the number of leaks we encountered on such a device makes it very likely that it is in development – and there is another rumor to Report today.
The well -known witness Eyes1122 (via macrumors) says that Apple is now about to decide a manufacturing partner to produce the folding screens of the folding iPhone. This is based on information from the Apple supply chain sources.
There is not too much information here, but there is a suggestion that certain parts suppliers are now closer to the standard required by Apple in terms of folding display and the mechanisms that underlie it.
Previously, we have heard that the foldable iPhone project was about to be canceled, because Apple could not obtain a flexion screen which it was satisfied with. It would seem that these obstacles may have been overcome.
Previous rumors
There have been a lot of previous rumors around a folding iPhone. In November, we learned that the device had exceeded the concept stage and was actively worked as a physical product that would send consumers.
More recently, we have heard that the folding iPhone would have a main screen of 7.6-7.9 inch and a smaller 5.3-5.5 inch cover screen. The same source predicted a launch window in 2026 for this long -awaited smartphone.
Other predictions had suggested that 2025 could be the year of the Apple foldable phone, but as we are now in February, it seems less likely. What a foldable style that we will get – Book or Slip -Style style – remains to be seen.
Although Apple has not yet launched a folding iPhone, the foldable market has seen many new and high -end devices appear in the past 12 months – including the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 And the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
