Two men accused of having kidnapped and murdered a seven -year -old boy in Landhi admitted crime before a judicial magistrate on Friday. The court subsequently returned the two suspects to prison.
The police produced the suspects, Ahsan and Sohail Qureshi, before the judicial magistrate of the East district after the expiration of their pre -trial detention. Their denominational statements were recorded under article 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, in which they admitted removing, attacking and killing the minor before throwing his body in a bag.
In his statement, Ahsan said he had “lost” himself and murdered the child for fear of being exposed after the assault. He admitted that he had struck the victim with a concrete block, strangling him when he was still alive, then striking him until he succumbs. Qureshi also admitted his involvement in crime.
According to police, the boy’s body was recovered from Landhi on September 18, on the same day, a case of kidnapping had been filed with the Landhi police station.
Apart from the courtroom, the lawyer for the lawyer for complainant Jahangir Kalhoro told the media that a more in -depth investigation was necessary to translate other suspects into justice. The victim’s family also allegedly alleged that the woman and the son -in -law of Qureshi were accomplices, saying that it was the son -in -law who had informed Chhipa’s ambulance service on the site’s site. They demanded their immediate arrest, warning that such odious crimes would persist if all the culprits were not held responsible.
