Accused Umar Hayat charged in the case of the murder of Sana Yousaf

Umar Hayat denied the accusations in the murder case of Sana Yousaf on Saturday (today) and pleaded not guilty to the hearing in the District’s additional court and sessions in Islamabad.

The case was officially tried today and was heard by judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

Sana Yousaf, a 17-year-old tiktker, was shot in the G-13 sector of Islamabad in June. According to the police, she was killed at close range inside her house. The killer would have entered the house, opened the fire, then fled the premises. A murder affair had been recorded against the accused, Umar Hayat, at the Sumbal police station.

The accusations against the accused include murder and tear him away from the victim’s mobile phone. “You have been accused of having murdered Sana Yousaf – What do you have to say?” The judge asked the accused.

“I have not committed such a crime. All this is false,” said accused Umar Hayat

When he was asked what he had argued in the accusations of the phone tearing, the accused replied that all the charges taken against him are false and pleaded his innocence.

The case of the murder of Sana Yousuf officially started his trial and witnesses are called to the next hearing. The court postponed the hearing until September 25, and a charge of accusation was written with the court officially supervising the accusations.

Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka chaired the last hearing on September 13, where Hayat was produced in court and gave copies of the police challan. According to investigators, Hayat admitted to having shot Yousaf inside his house.
