Acer announced the Swift Air 16, a 16 -inch Copilot + PC laptop that weighs less than 1 kg. The company presented the aircraft at IFA 2025 in Berlin as part of its slim and light Swift family.
The Swift Air 16 is powered by the Ryzen AI 300 processors associated with integrated raft graphics.
The magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis helps place the new device among the most light laptops available.
Lighter than a Big Mac Meal
Two display options are available. Users can choose an AMOLED 2880 x 1800 panel with 120 Hz refreshment and 100% DCI-P3 color support, or an IPS 1920 x 1200 screen with a refreshment at 60 Hz. The two share the same appearance ratio 16:10.
Acer says that the IPS version, with a thin profile of only 15.9 mm, arrives at just under 2.2 lb / 990g, while the AMOLED model is slightly heavier at 1.1 kg.
The lighter model weighs less than a Big Mac McDonald’s meal, which with the hamburger, the average coke and the fries are around 2.27 lb / 1030 g in the United States.
The memory is offered up to 32 GB of LPDDR5, with storage up to 1 to SSD Gen4 PCIe Gen4.
The laptop also has an IR 2MP camera with confidentiality shutter, two microphones and stereo speakers.
Connectivity includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A, HDMI 1.4 port, Wi-Fi 6th and Bluetooth 5.4.
Acer has equipped the SWIFT Air 16 with a battery disappointing 50Wh, which is less than those of certain ultrabooks on the big screen in competition.
The company lists a maximum of 13 -hour video reading, although the real figures depend on the workload and the configuration so that you can find yourself attached to a wall output for more time than you want.
Cooling is handled via a double fan system with twin turhements, while the camera supports infrared facial recognition via Windows Hello.
The Swift Air 16 will be available on the EMEA markets from November from € 999, with variations per region.
It will be available in a choice of four colors: silver, blue, gray and white.
