Newlyweds Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty have launched into their honeymoon following massive family drama.
The 30-year-old Olympic swimmer and his blushing bride, 25, appeared in good spirits as they made a grand outing following their lavish Dec. 27 wedding at Bath Abbey – an event which reportedly sparked a nasty row and tore Adam’s family apart.
According to reports, the majority of the groom’s family members were not present.
Other reports claim Adam’s dad Mark was the only person invited to their big day, but was allegedly told he would have to sit in the back “behind the plus ones”.
On Adam’s side, his younger sister Bethany is the only member who believes they remained close after the family fallout.
Bethany joined Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan as they led the bridal party at the couple’s wedding on Saturday.
Now, insiders claim Bethany’s decision to not only attend the wedding, but also accept such a major role in the wedding party, has left her mother feeling “betrayed.”
“Beth betrayed her mother to see what she could get out of being the only family member to get along with Adam and Holly,” the source claims, saying Bethany has changed since forming a close friendship with Holly.
“This is not the Bethany we all know, she has changed her appearance and personality to fit the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle,” the source added. The Sun.
A few weeks before her bridesmaid duties, Bethany attended the bride-to-be’s bridal shower, which became a focal point of the family rift.
