Abbottabad:
Following the demolition of a building next to the Harno river despite the status of the quo status rendered by the court, the additional district judge summoned the deputy commissioner of the DPO, the director of irrigation, the general manager of the GDA and the income staff, including the deputy commissioner and other relevant authorities to appear before it on July 16, 2025, for non-conformity.
According to the details of the case, the Abbottabad administration had launched an anti-enCroqueur training against the constructions near the River in Harno following the tragic incident in which an 18-year-old group fell into the river during a sudden flood in Swat.
A particular building on the banks of the river belonged to Abid Ali, a Pakistanis abroad, who had obtained a prohibition order and had carried out the necessary legal documents. However, the administration has demolished Ali’s building, after which has filed a case against it.
The additional judge of the sessions summoned the deputy commissioner Abbottabad, the captain (RETD) Sanaullah Khan, Abbottabad DPO Omar Tufail, TMO Mian Shafic, Director General of GDA and other authorities relevant to appear before the court on July 16, 2025.
The appellants also filed a request for an outrage against the accused for non-compliance with judicial orders, after which the court suspended the operation.
The court will examine the case and determine the next line of conduct. The result of the case may have important implications for the approach of demolition administration.
Meanwhile, Abid Ali also filed a complaint with the Pakistan Foundation abroad.
