- Adobe reveals the addition of Flash Image Gemini 2.5 in Firefly and Express
- Firefly models are already supported by Google, Openai and Plus models
- Gemini 2.5 Flash Image promises better performance
Google’s Flash Gemini 2.5 image is now available in Adobe Firefly for image and Adobe Express text features.
The Flash Gemini 2.5 image allows Adobe users to generate stylized graphics in Firefly, then animate, resize, add legends and publish via Adobe Express, which makes the process from start to finish.
Other use cases include campaign asset changes for marketing specialists (such as the exchange of backgrounds and the creation of variations), and the concepts of prototyping products for designers.

Although many of these features were previously available using Adobe Firefly models, Google’s Gemini model improves experience with better context and knowledge, consistency and performance.
Adobe also uses other partner models of companies such as Openai, Black Forest Labs, Runway, Pika, Ideogram, Lume Ai, Moonvalley and more to give users the choice. By not restricting them to internal models and giving them more flexibility, this ultimately means that customers are more likely to stay subscribed to the Adobe platform.
For a limited period, Adobe offers paid customers unlimited generations with Gemini 2.5 Flash Image as a welcome promotion. Even free Firefly users will be able to access up to 20 generations to test the newly added model.
Whatever the selection of the model, however, Adobe stressed that the content and downloads generated by the user will not be used to form generative AI models.
“This has always been the case for ADobe Firefly generative models, and this is a requirement in all our partnership agreements,” wrote Vice-President of New Genai Business Hannah Elsakr in a blog article.
“With the addition of today’s Flash Gemini 2.5 image from Google in Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express, people have even greater flexibility to explore their ideas with advanced generative models and easily create amazing content,” added Elsakr.
