There was practically nothing that Syracuse’s defense could do to stop Tennessee n ° 23 on Saturday, but they certainly tried.
The volunteers left Atlanta with a 45-26 victory over the orange, but a moment of the second quarter during what became a Touché’s trip for Tennessee took advertisers of the match by surprise.
With around 1:25 to do in the first half, the volunteers walked on the ground, quickly winning 63 yards on two games.

After Joey Aguilar struck Mike Matthews for 16 yards, the defender of Syracuse Demetres Samuels Jr. fell on the lawn, and another player next to him also looked to descend before recovering.
This stopped the stopwatch, to the Dam not only fans of Tennessee, but commentators Bob Wischusen and Louis Riddick on the call.
“This is not a good look. It looked blatant,” said Riddick. “They are trying to suppress this kind of thing – simulate injuries. And I don’t want to assume anything about a player, but he looked suspicious.

“It’s just not what university football wants,” added Riddick. “They try to get out of the game. We strategically understand why the defenses try to do it when they are on their heels … But that’s something that you will end up being penalized if the referees catch it.”
Samuels was back on the ground shortly after, that Wischusen, who called Tennessee for having done it earlier, jokingly called a “miraculous recovery”.
Apparent tactics did not work because Tennessee increased by 31-14.
