The president of the Haqiqi Movement (MQM-H) of Muhajir Qaumi (MQM-H), AFAQ Ahmed, strongly condemned recent unrest in Karachi, alleging that violence has been premeditated and urging the government to take immediate measures against officials to disrupt peace in the city, reported Express News.

Speaking Thursday at a press conference in Karachi, Ahmed referred to an incident in the north of Karachi which occurred the previous night.

He called on citizens to go out peacefully in the street to demand their rights on Saturday. “I called the people of Karachi to protest against the injustices committed in this city. I extended an appeal to political and religious parties to participate in a peaceful demonstration,” he said.

He stressed that demonstrations are the result of the government’s continuous failure to solve the city’s longtime problems. “People are hoping now, seeing that someone is ready to defend the city without fear of the consequences. This city has suffered more than traffic accidents-we are faced with deeply rooted injustices,” he said.

Ahmed also expressed serious concerns about the deterioration of the state of education in Karachi. “The academic system has been ruined. Whole examination centers are being changed and the results are handled. Who is responsible for the suffering of our students? ” He asked.

Emphasizing the diversity of Karachi, he added: “This city houses people of each language, ethnic and its ante

He rejected these allegations, declaring: “They accused me of trying to divide the communities, but MQM-H will not allow anyone to plunder the resources of the province. When I tried to unite people, I was called a criminal. ”

Referring to the violent incident, Ahmed said: “It was a calculated decision. Rumors were deliberately widespread that people died, creating panic. Don’t our institutions do what’s going on? Why is this chaos allowed in the city? ”

He also pointed out that heavy vehicles and flies were deliberately brought into protest zones to intensify the situation. “We did not come here to hear anti-states slogans. If the authorities are serious, they can apprehend the agitators in one day, “he said.

Expressing the concern of the law and the order, Ahmed said: “The events of yesterday are deeply alarming. Are our institutions even capable of maintaining peace in this city? I demand that those who have destabilized the law and the order be arrested and presented before the public to reveal who is really behind these disturbances. ”

He concluded by reiterating that MQM-H’s protest is against corruption and injustice. “Our movement is peaceful and against the oppression of the government. We use all citizens, whatever their ethnicity, to join us with white flags on April 12 in a non -violent demonstration. ”

“This is a peaceful movement. No one will be authorized to encourage violence. The authorities must act against those who try to disrupt peace,” he said.
