Islamabad:
The Ministry of the Interior published on Tuesday an official notification to initiate the return of Afghan nationals with proof registration cards (POR), fixing on September 1 as the start date to catch up with those who do not choose to return voluntarily.
According to notification, the process of voluntary repatriation of POR card holders will start immediately, while the compulsory repatriation of remaining persons will start from September 1.
The decision was made at a high -level meeting given the increase in security problems and pressure on national resources.
The notification specifies that the process of repatriation in progress for the holders of cards of Afghan citizens will continue according to the previous decision of the provisional framework for the return process (IFRP).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will collaborate with relevant international organizations, including the Afghan temporary government, UNHCR and others, to facilitate the return of Afghan refugees.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Cashmere Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and Safron will provide full porn data to the respective provincial and district committees.
The national database and the registration authority (NADRA) will ensure the unsubscription of the Afghans returning to transit areas and border terminals. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was responsible for supporting the return process at the designated cross -border points.
All provincial governments and relevant agencies have been invited to map all POR card holders in their jurisdictions.
