PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, addressing the office bearers and activists of Insaf Students’ Federation (ISF), highlighted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its affiliated organizations have always continued their struggle within the confines of the constitution and law, forming the bedrock of their political identity.

Highlighting the right of citizens to peaceful protest under the Pakistani Constitution, Afridi stressed that this right must be exercised with full compliance with discipline and legal norms. He announced that preparations for a “street movement”, under the directives of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, have begun and called for organized and comprehensive planning at all levels.

Afridi urged the youth to focus on discipline, conscience and organization rather than emotions. He noted that a genuine struggle for freedom requires sustained, serious and systematic efforts, and that preparation at all levels is essential. Referring to the history of the Insaf Students Federation, he said it is the only student organization that has consistently promoted peaceful, civilized and constitutional activism. Past protests, sit-ins and rallies organized by the federation, he said, have never involved violence, misconduct or unconstitutional actions.

“The success of the street movement will depend on a strong organizational structure,” Afridi said, ordering the federation to fully activate and strengthen the chapters of each university, college and educational institution. He stressed that the real strength of the party emerges from the grassroots and organizational preparedness should extend to the ward, union council and district levels.

Afridi criticized corrupt and anti-national political forces for undermining state institutions, democracy and the judiciary, propagating political instability and trying to mislead the youth and distract them from their basic goals. He stressed that young activists must remain vigilant against negative propaganda while keeping the objective of their struggle clear.
