- AI writers quietly replace authentic communication in many workplaces today
- The performance reviews generated by AI let employees question the confidence and empathy of the management
- Managers admit IA writers for criticisms and even layoffs
The AI assisted writing has increased from an optional experience to daily dependence in many workplaces, new research warned.
A zerobounce survey of 1,000 American professionals says that employees and managers integrate AI tools into routine communication, sometimes in a way that raises uncomfortable questions about confidence and authenticity.
The study revealed that the quarter of employees (24%) now reports a daily newspaper for writing or modifying emails, those of technology are most likely to count on it.
How employees adapt to AI
For many employees, this technology has strengthened confidence, reducing the social pressure that accompanies the drafting of the workplace.
However, the change is not entirely positive, because more than a third (35%) of employees say they relied on AI to help write or modify sensitive texts, and some copy and stick these messages without modifications.
Others feel that they cannot write without AI writers, and this model shows that AI is not only for convenience but, for some, a crutch.
Many workers can also recognize when a text is generated by AI, because one in five has caught a colleague using an email identical to AI.
The use of AI in sensitive contexts such as performance reviews and layoffs is much more controversial.
More than a quarter of employees (26%) suspect that their performance exam was generated by AI, with the highest suspicions among young workers and those of technology.
Sixteen percent of employees who have lost jobs believe that the electronic dismissal mail they received was written by AI, and 20% said they cried when they read such a post -emotional message.
The results indicate a disconnection between the way in which employees perceive these communications and the way in which managers justify their use of AI.
While some maintain that automation improves clarity, many workers interpret it as a lack of empathy – and managers are not only observers of this change; Many are active participants, 41% admitting that they used AI to write or revise a performance exam.
Some went further, with almost one in five (17%) recognizing its use in emails.
Managers also report confidence in their ability to use AI, with only a minority believing that their staff exceeds them with competence.
The evidence indicates that the role of AI in management communications is no longer marginal.
It has become standardized in the drafting of everything, routine emails to decisions which directly affect the means of subsistence.
If this continues and AI is effective, it seems certain that jobs will be lost, and this could accelerate the decline of traditional HR.
