New Delhi: an Air Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to New Delhi returned to its origin from Hong Kong as a precaution on Monday, after the pilot suspected a technical problem in the air, a source with direct knowledge of the case told Reuters.

The incident occurs after days after an India air flight to London, using the same type of Boeing plane, crashed in the western town of Ahmedabad Indian a few moments after takeoff, killing 242 people on board.

The Dreamliner Flying Air India Flight AI315 plane in Hong Kong on Monday is now under checks, said the source knowing the issue.

The AI315 flight took off from Hong Kong at 12:16 p.m. and landed a little over an hour later, according to follow -up data on Flightradar24.

Boeing and Air India did not immediately respond to a request for comments on the flight of Hong Kong-New Delhi.
