AJK CJ expresses solidarity with people IIOJK

Azad Jammu and Kashmir The Supreme Court (AJKSC) judge Raja Saeed Akram Khan expressed solidarity with the Indian people illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (iiojk) for their unrivaled sacrifices in the struggle for self -determination.

The chief judge was addressed to the opening ceremony of the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee Ajksc in Muzaffarabad on Thursday.

Standing 50 years since the Supreme Court establishment in 1975, the chief judge Akram prolonged the congratulations to the people of the State as well as to past and current judges, lawyers and citizens from all horizons. He also paid tribute to the former chief judges, both deceased and alive, who have laid the foundations of a progressive and effective judicial system to the AJK.

In a strong message of solidarity, the chief judge reaffirmed the unshakable support of the people of Azad Cashmere and Pakistan for the oppressed people of IIOJK, condemning the illegal occupation of India and unconstitutional actions. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the cashmere martyrs and expressed the hope that the dawn of freedom would soon increase in the occupied region.

The chief judge revealed that the original celebration of the golden jubilee, scheduled for May 2025 with a confirmed participation of the Pakistani chief Yahya Afrida and other superior judges from all over the country, had to be postponed after the night of May 6 to 7, when civil zones and mosques were targeted, resulting in the tragic loss of women, children and former citizens.

He praised the armed forces of Pakistan for their rapid and robust response, congratulating in particular the Pakistani Air Force and cyber warriers for their historic defense. Counting tribute to Martyr Major Adnan, he praised the courage and sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers.

By reflecting on the evolution of the judiciary, the chief judge Akram said that the Supreme Court of the AJK had resisted both the challenges and the milestones to emerge as a lighthouse of justice. He noted that no matter before 2024 is currently pending in court – an unrivaled record in the region.

The chief judge stressed that justice is delayed is the justice refused, emphasizing the delays in the implementation of judicial decisions and systemic ineffections such as adjournments, absent lawyers and bureaucratic bottlenecks. He called for collective responsibility and reform, including judges, lawyers and judicial staff.

The chief judge also credited the Islamic ideology council, under his direction, having examined and recommended amendments to provide laws in accordance with Islamic principles.

He praised social harmony in the AJK, citing low crime rates, sectarian unit and transparent governance as characteristics of the region’s societal model. He urged all institutions – judicial, executive and legislative – to remain within their constitutional limits while working on a providence state based on the rule of law, merit and justice.
