The Akron Zips football program is not eligible for playoff matches next season due to bad scores in class.
The score of academic progress rate of the program is 914, which is less than at least 930 for eliminatory admissibility, according to NCAA rules.
The director organ has updated its national database APR with the latest scores, and Akron will not be happy to see that he cannot play in any Bowl game even if he qualifies.

The Mid-American conference team has not played in a Bowl match since 2017, also the last time the program won more than four games in one season.
It has been difficult for zip in recent seasons. Since they went 7-7 in 2017, they did not have a better season than 4-8, which includes the 2024 campaign.

They went 0-12 in 2019 before spent 1-5 in 2020 and finishing 2-10 three consecutive seasons from 2021-2023.

Idaho was the last team in the IFB division I FBS ineligible for the playoffs due to the APR scores in 2014.
Due to the Pandemic COVID-19, the SCORE APR penalties have not been used by NCAA since spring 2020. However, the NCAA voted to restore its former politicians.
The last time Akron won a bowl match was in 2015 when Terry Bowden trained the team.
