The sports director of the University of Alabama, Greg Byrne, launched a possible idea on how to prevent students and fans from storming the court after major victories.
Students and fans celebrate big victories, generally in football or basketball, going to the field or on the field to celebrate. At its most extreme, fans demolish the goal posts and remove them from the field. There is also a ugly side in which fans and players also enter a crash.

Byrne said there is a way to stop it completely.
“I think that from a security point of view, keeping people out of the fields and courts is a good thing for all those involved,” he told ESPN. “If we said that the home team, if they storm the field or the court, they will lose the match at that time and there, that will stop it.”
Byrne said he agreed with the criticisms he opens and is ready to listen to better ideas.
Certainly, some conferences are fine schools on celebrations. The dry has a fine structure for the assault in court and on the ground. A school is sentenced to a fine of $ 100,000 for the first incident, $ 250,000 for the second and $ 500,000 for the third.

“I think it is a difficult proposal,” said the SEC commissioner, Greg Sankey, at ESPN of the Byrne proposal. “I think there is more than Greg in this league that feels this way.”
In recent years, stormage has led to incidents with fans.
The former tight wing of Alabama, Jermaine Burton, struck a woman who was a fan of Tennessee after the volunteers upset the crimson tide two years ago. The former Duke basketball star Kyle Filipowski also got involved in a crash with fans after the Blue Devils lost a match against Wake Forest.

University sports always seem to be struggling with how to manage the situation.
