Alec Baldwin opens with his divorce with Kim Basinger in 2002 and how it always has an impact on his parenting.
Alec, who shares his daughter Ireland with Kim, opened the divorce during her reality show and his wife Hilaria The Baldwins. was “unnecessarily difficult” and changed his relationship with Ireland.
“My divorce with Ireland’s mother was not easy. It’s not easy. Very long, very expensive. I mean, just madness, just madness,” said Alec in a confessional.
“I was on a plane every two weeks for the whole school year. I stole from New York to Los Angeles 18 times a year. I got a house like eight doors from my daughter and her mother, then I thought it would improve things, and that did not improve things.
“Because my relationship with Ireland has been so negatively impacted by my experience there to divorce his mother, as regards these other children, I bring all this baggage in this situation, unfortunately,” he admitted.
“This is why I think I am so focused on parenting at this level, if you want, be a lot around and take them to school most of the time, instead of working,” he said.
The divorce of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger came after twenty years of marriage.
