- You can register to try Alexa + on Amazon.com
- Amazon unveiled the Alexa Super in charge on February 26 and will start a gradual deployment in March in the United States
- You will need an Echo Show 8, 10, 15 or 21 to be eligible for early access
Amazon has finally revealed the upgrading of Alexa that we have all been waiting for for several years, and Alexa + should start a deployment of early access for those of the United States next month, March 2025.
It will be a good month, at least, before all eligible users have it. However, if you can’t wait to try the Amazon Super loaded assistant that mixes natural conversation with serious backend intelligence, there is a path to register at least and have the right device to potentially unlock early access.
While Alexa + will be free with main membership or $ 19.99 per month if you do not have one, access to the service is free during the period “early access”. So, let’s go for how to register and tell Amazon that you are interested, the more the type of device you will need to use Alexa +.
How to register for Alexa + Early Access
First of all, you will want to go to Amazon’s destination page which invites you to “meet the new Alexa” here. You can watch Amazon’s trailer for the new virtual assistant, but we recommend that you read our ventilation of what you need to know about Alexa + here.
If you scroll the page, on the right side, you will see a box saying: “Alexa + arrives soon.” Then, if you are connected to Amazon, you can register to mark your interest and be informed when available. This places you in the queue to access Alexa +.
Amazon said access will begin to take place in waves from March 2025 for customers in the United States. There is not yet a calendar for locations outside the United States, but it will probably be a bit, given the slow and regular approach to Amazon here.
However, it does not seem that capacity is a long-term concern, with Daniel Rausch, vice-president of Alexa and Echo from Amazon, telling Techradar that he is ready, saying: “Yes, it’s very pleasant to have AWS on Amazon.”
Once you register, you will see “we send yourself an email when available” and will receive an email confirming this. However, you will need a particular Echo device to be among the first to have the opportunity to try Alexa +.
And it would be one of those intelligent screens fueled by Alexa: Echo Show 8, Echo Show 10, Echo Show 15 or Echo Show 21. No luck if you have the smallest Echo show or a SMOS speaker from the standard Echo for early access.
Amazon clearly indicates that it is not limited if you already had one of these devices before the announcement of Alexa +.
“We are going to start deploying early access to American customers who have or buy an Echo 8, 10, 15 or 21 show”, which is quite clear that you can buy one now to access.
Although none of these models is currently reduced, Amazon is known to offer discounts, and there is a good chance that they will see in the future. In addition, Amazon’s latest echo emissions – 15 or 21 – should be excellent screens to take advantage of everything that Alexa + should offer. Techradar has just reviewed the Echo 21 show And gave it four in five stars, noting that it is an excellent smart screen with an excellent kitchen companion and smart house chops. THE Echo Show 21 is available for $ 399.99 on Amazon.
Of course, if you don’t need a 21.5 inch screen, the Show 8,, Show 10Or Show 15 are better options to consider. They are also a little more affordable in the United States at $ 149.99, $ 249.99 and $ 299.99, respectively, compared to the Echo Show of $ 399 21.
We are impatient to become practical and spend more time with Alexa +, so much so that I have already registered for a chance for early access and that we have an Echo 21 show. Once we are going up, we will come back with our first impressions and advice to get the most of Amazon.
