All forms of parking on Karachi’s II Chundrigar are prohibited

A large -scale operation was launched in the metropolitan city on the directives of chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to eliminate illegal parking spaces and improve traffic across the metropolis.

According to a press release published by the Chief Minister’s House, the operation aims to solve long -standing congestion problems and to facilitate the more fluid movement for citizens.

As part of the new measures, all forms of parking have been strictly prohibited along the Chundrigar II road, from the Shaheen complex on the tour. A prohibition was also imposed on the parking of vehicles of Muhammad bin Qasim Road at Dr. Ziauddin Road, extending to SM Law College. In addition, parking on sidewalks or roads has been prohibited across the city.

The chief minister ordered the authorities to rigorously respect these rules, warning that offenders will face strict legal action. He also asked that citizens use the railway land as a designated car park.

In a related decision, the traffic police received the order to retract vehicles with fanciful or lower numbers, as well as those without appropriate recording. Only standard digital plates will be considered valid in the future.

DIG traffic has confirmed that the Karachi traffic police implement a zero tolerance policy in accordance with the orders of the chief minister. He added that immediate legal proceedings will be taken against illegal car parks and violating traffic regulations.
