A Bogie from Allama Iqbal Express derailed near Kotri station on Saturday, temporarily disturbing rail services between Hyderabad and Karachi, officials said.
The incident occurred when the train, on the way from Lahore to Karachi, experienced a technical flaw near Kotri, which had his last car detached and getting out of the track, Express News reported.
No victim has been reported.
The affected bogie was also separated from the rest of the train.
The rail authorities have launched immediate restoration efforts, starting to work to attach the Bogie and repair the coupling mechanism.
“The downward track was affected by the incident,” said a railway spokesperson.
“Trains traveling from Hyderabad to Kotri were interrupted in Hyderabad as a precaution.”
Repair work is expected to take two to three hours. The train services on the route will once again resume the security inspections.

In a briefing to the Federal Minister of Hanif Abbasi railways, the railway officials said that the trains had been designed to operate with a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
Trains will be exercised between Lahore, Lala Musa and Rawalpindi.
Up to 380 passengers can travel both in diesel plus several trains. The project is based on a public-private partnership. The railways will ensure effective operation and monitoring.
