Amanda Seyfried gave fans The cleaning lady a new reason to remain hopeful, suggesting that his character may not be done with the story yet.

While attending the 2026 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday, January 3, the actress said she expected a sequel to happen and thought she would be a part of it in some way.

Talk to Variety at the event, where she celebrated her separate release in 2025 Ann Lee’s willSeyfried has made it clear that she wants to return, even if only briefly.

“No one has said anything about number 2, but I guarantee there will be number 2. And I almost guarantee I will be a small cameo in it,” she said.

Seyfried hinted that the second story focuses on Millie moving into a new home, with a lot still happening around Enzo, played by Michele Morrone.

While discussing Nina’s future, Seyfried admitted that she was particularly curious to see how the dynamic continues, adding that she would “come back to that role.”

Sydney Sweeney also expressed her excitement about returning.

The actress recently said she would “love” to reprise Millie, sharing how deeply she connected with the books and the character.

She described Millie as “spicy” and a fighter who holds her own.
