Amazon bets large on the next generation of artificial intelligence – AI of origin – according to internal communications seen by PK Press Club The revelation of the company has created a new group focused on the automation of tasks.
The initiative would be led by AWS AI and VP Data Swami Sivasubramanian, reporting directly to the CEO of the Cloud Computing giant Matt Garman.
Although the company has not confirmed its plans to advance AI agents, they are considered the next stage in the world of artificial intelligence and a key point for many Amazon rivals.
AWS to invest more in agentic AI
“AI of the agency has the potential to be the next company of several billion dollars for AWS,” wrote Garman in an email seen by PK Press Club. “We have the possibility of helping our customers to innovate even faster and to unlock more possibilities, and I firmly believe that AI agents are at the heart of this next wave of innovation,” he added.
The company is not new in the AI of agentics – Alexa + Vocal Assistant recently in preview has presented agenic capacities intended for consumers, although the technology of backing over time is most commonly applied to business levels in its current state – something that Amazon might want to capitalize.
With the example of a broken oven, VP Panos Panay devices and services wrote: “Alexa + will be able to navigate the web, use the Cack to discover the service provider concerned, authenticate, organize the repair and come back to tell you that it did – there is no need to supervise or intervene.”
At the same time, PK Press Club Reports that the Vice-President of the SVP, Peter Desantis, announced that certain divisions would mix under different sections to “accelerate innovation”.
While the main rivals of Amazon’s hyperscaller, Microsoft and Google, have also developed their own agentic AI, Salesforce has undoubtedly paved the way for its endless investments and innovations – the CEO of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, now envisages the next generation of CEO having to manage humans a simultaneous IA agent.
