- Amazon discreetly listed the Kindle Colordeft Ereder on its Australian site
- It is now available for purchase for $ 399 at
- He is also dispatched to New Zealand for $ 417 NZ, although he can lead to shipping costs
Originally out in other major markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom in October 2024, Amazon took a while to bring down the Kindle Colorfoft. It was quietly added to the site at Amazon and is available for the purchase immediately.
He made the headlines abroad to be the only color Kindle to be published and, in our Kindle Colorsoft Review, our tester was taken enough by him. I can understand why, especially if you are already a Kindle user and you subscribe to services like Prime Reading or Kindle Unlimited.
The 7 -inch Enk Kaleido 3 screen goes well to the display of book blankets, manga and comics, according to our criticism, but I have not yet had the chance to see it for myself – I can’t wait to see how it accumulates on the color of the color of Kobo Libra, the Kobo Clara Color and the Onyx Boox Go Color 7 (I am currently testing Gen II Also).
Due to being the only color Kindle, the Colorsoft is already one of the best Kindles to buy, now available on Amazon at for $ 399 at. He will also ship the ditch in New Zealand for around $ 417 in.
It is not a bad price for a 7 -inch color Kindle, but I am not entirely convinced that this represents good value, especially in Australia.
Color me skeptical
I was impatiently waiting for the Kindle Colorsoft to launch in Australia, but now that I have seen its RRP, I’m not sure I would buy it myself – here is why.
It is in direct competition with the two colors of Kobo colors. In terms of design, the Kobo Clara color is the 6-inch alternative which offers roughly the same set of features as the color-ut, but for $ 269.95 in. They both use the same screen – although the Kobo is smaller – and they are both waterproof with an IPX8 certification. They also share the same storage specification of 16 GB of 16 GB.
In terms of size, however – and in terms of price – Colorsoft is closer to the Kobo Libra color, which costs $ 379.95 in Australia. This 7 -inch Kobo also uses the same display technology but is delivered with complete writing capacities. You will have to buy the Kobo Stylus 2 separately, but it is always a feature that Colorsoft does not offer.
In addition, if you usually find yourself holding your reader in one hand, the design of the color of the scale, with its physical page turning buttons, will be more ergonomic than the configuration of the Kindle simple tablet.
Then, there is the difference in storage capacities: the color of the balance is delivered with double space at 32 GB. You also have Bluetooth support on kobos (all), which you will not get any current Kindle in Australia, so you cannot connect to your audible account to listen to audio books.
It may not be a break for many readers, but you cannot borrow from a local library via a Kindle in Australia either-you can use a Kobo Ereder if your library also uses the Overdrive platform.
To be fair, however, now that the Colorsoft is available locally, it is very likely to see more important discounts than the meager Kobo at $ 20 at the offer generally on its devices. So, my advice if you really want the Kindle Colorsoft: wait for a big sale as the next first order day in October or the sale of Amazon Black Friday in November.
