Amazon has just announced its own Apple style event for later this month, where we will probably see it throwing new Smart Echo speakers, Echo Bud Corephones, a new Kindle and more.
The launch will take place on September 30 in New York with exact schedules that will be confirmed. But the invitation (above) gave us good pointers on the new products that we will probably see.
The latest Amazon consumption event was for its new Alexa + subscription service on February 26 and this September launch will probably give us several new pieces of equipment that will all play well with its reminié vocal assistant.
So what exactly has Amazon in store? We have passed our magnifying glass to the above invitation to give you our best assumptions below.
The invitation of Amazon dissected – what to expect
1. A new intelligent Amazon Echo Studio smart speaker
Amazon’s upper right-of-law quadrant is very similar to an intelligent speaker-perhaps a new Amazon Echo studio. It would be an update expected for a long time; The original Echo studio was launched in 2022, and although it always occupies a place in our overview of the best smart speakers, there is a lot of room for improvement.
The main sales argument of this speaker will probably be Alexa +. It took months for the assistant fueled by AI to arrive on Echo Show devices, but I hope that Amazon took over the Kinks and Alexa + will be available on the new studio of the first day.
This will require a large upgrade to the speaker silicon, and I also hope that this will lead to an improvement in 3D audio, which was a fairly mixed bag with the original studio.
2. A new color Kindle
This lower hand segment on the right of the invitation is easily the simplest part of the teaser, showing what seems to be a kind of new color of color.
With the Kindle Colorsoft out in nature (and some problems of early dentition with its resolved screen), it is time that Amazon extends its range of colors, so a new model makes a lot of sense.
This is perhaps the perspective, but the screen seems larger than that of Colorsoft, with slim glasses in our eyes – closer to the appearance of the existing Kindle scribe.
The slither of the text in the corner of the image is also interesting: “With the […] A pen of a pen ”. Could this simply be a coincidence, or a small clue that this future device will offer stylus features?
We will have to wait and see if the scribe is about to obtain a colorful refreshment, but it is our firmer prediction at the moment.
3. Some new Amazon friends (2025)
This makes sense: the bourgeons of Amazon Echo origin landed in 2019; The second generation Setarrived in 2021; The most recent Amazon Echo Buds (2023) struck the shelves (you guessed it) 2023 and here we are, in 2025.
To date, Amazon Echo Buds products have revealed solid but not very spectacular artists in an intense examination, winning four stars and not half a half-star in the six years since they joined the market.
Which must change – if it is indeed the shiny upper plate of a fourth generation. The earpiece we see in front of us? Well, the price price has never been a problem, but no more energy and impact through the bass would be our best demand; Less bright ear orders would be second.
Oh, and active noise cancellation really becomes a must in 2025, so it would be third.
Another thought: is Alexa the headphones that were USP that it was in the past? Not with Chatgpt available in even the most affordable headphones, as well as Gemini arriving on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, with more Samsung and Sony headphones to follow, we bet. So it will be interesting to see how Amazon takes place …
4. New Amazon Fire Tvs or a fire tablet
The lower left corner of the invitation shows a television screen or a display with a telescope, which suggests some possibilities.
The most likely is that Amazon is preparing a new range of fire televisions. Its range currently has a few options, directed by the Amazon Fire TV Omni Qled (that our opinion has marked “one of the cheap 4K TVs that you can buy” when it landed in 2023).
Below, the Fire TV 4 series and the 2 series, which also arrived in 2023. Our 32-inch Amazon Fire TV opinion has not sung its praises exactly, but concluded that it is a “functional television at a budget price”.
Beyond the televisions, we could rather get a new fire table, although it seems less likely. Last month, some convincing rumors predicted that Amazon planned to reorganize its range of Fire tablets by replacing Fire OS with Android. It would be a big problem, but the rumor of PK Press Club suggested that this would not happen before 2026.
The final possibility of Fire TV is, of course, new television sticks. Rumors earlier this year predicted that Amazon could move to a new operating system (Vega OS) for its small streaming sticks in 2025, which would probably prove to be controversial. It is not yet clear if it also means new equipment, but we will probably discover it during the Amazon event.
5. Some surprises – echo the frames and echo auto 3?
Beyond new speakers Echo, Echo Buds, Kindles and Fire TV Material, Amazon has a range of other technologies that she kept-could she be updated during her September 30 event?
The Amazon Echo Auto 2 – A microphone in the car that allows you to speak to Alexa – landed in 2022 and is now unavailable, so it has long been expected an update. Could Amazon prepare a version that performs its new Alexa +assistant?
It will also be a big week for smart glasses, with Meta Connect 2025 which starts on September 17. Could Amazon respond with an update of its Amazon Echo frames (Gen 3), who have slipped into our guide to the best smart glasses?
