- Some Amazon purchasing applications users are redirected to websites from other sellers
- Some external sellers will always work with “ buy with premium ‘
- More American customers could soon get the functionality
Despite being the electronic commerce platform for millions around the world, there are times when Amazon may not have a certain product in his warehouses, but he has now thought of a new way of managing custom that is the result of it.
The company is testing a new feature in its purchase application that redirects users to websites from other brands if it does not have this particular product in stock.
In a blog article, Amazon wrote: “We will display certain products in our search results even if we do not sell them in our store, and we are reading the brand’s website to facilitate customers to buy them.”
Amazon will redirect buyers to the sites of other brands
In its ad, the Seattle giant boasted of the more than 300 million items it offers that are available with fast and free fast delivery and hundreds of millions of products it sells in total.
“We are testing to bring more selection and brands in our search results to help customers find even more of what they want and to further improve our shopping experience for customers,” said Rajiv Mehta, vice vice -Paries of Amazon of Research and Conversational Shopping.
Amazon stressed that if a brand has activated “buy with premium”, it will always be able to benefit from the associated advantages, such as 24/7 customer support and fast delivery.
Mehta added: “We are still experiencing new ways to allow customers to find more easily products they want and need when they are looking for Amazon’s purchase application.”
The improved function is currently tested with an “subset of American customers” not disclosed using the Amazon shopping application on iOS and Android, but there is no word on a wider deployment. The company added: “We will deploy more American customers and integrate more brands depending on the comments.”
