- The new documentation suggests that we will see Fire television devices working on Android 14
- It is despite the assertions that Amazon moved Fire TV to a new platform
- A large product launch is scheduled for February 26
Amazon seems to work on new Fire TV sticks that work on Android 14, and we could have a first good look before the end of the month.
Reporters with eagle eyes for Aftvnews spotted the mention of the new equipment on one of the Amazon developer pagesEntitled “Develop for Amazon Fire TV devices running Android 14”.
The page opens by saying that “Fire TV 14 based on Android is based on the Level 34 API. The following sections explain some of the [the] Important changes that you should consider when you create Applications for Fire TV at 14 based on Android. “”
There are no specific models listed, but the term “Android 14” reappears on another Pumping pageAnd with a large launch of Amazon product just a few weeks old, we are curious to know if a new Fire TV range is about to appear.
We do not yet have TV Fire devices on Android 14 – The version of the omnipresent operating system of Google which was launched in 2023 – and it seemed that Amazon was eager to start moving its streaming equipment on The new Vegaos based in Linux, which runs on the last versions of the Echo Echo and show.
However, the documentation suggests that Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks and Smart TV collaborations could always work on a version of the Android platform, and without the current devices that execute it, it seems likely that new .
The latest Stick Fire TV was the HD model launched in 2024, and we would not be surprised to see older old fire television updates for the coming year.
You, me and Alexa
The major launch event takes place on February 26 and is expected to present a new generation iteration powered by the AI of the Smart Alexa assistant – which may well be integrated into any New-25 fire television equipment.
This new Alexa should be better to understand natural speech and manage several contextual guests in sequence – allowing more rationalized and conversational interaction – and even act as AI agent to perform tasks in your name.
These types of IA improvements are still in public beta for the most part, and you can pay 5 to 10 dollars per month for the privilege of testing these not yet perfect features. But that shows that Amazon goes up in the AI plaque and makes sure that it is part of this new border in smart assistants. Given how Alexa Omnipresent is through the best intelligent house devices, this is something that we should all take note of it.
Hoping that the new Fire TV will bring our ability to hide applications on the home page, however…
