- Radeon RX 9060 XT of AMD will probably be revealed on May 21 after a teaser on its page X
- This will come after the launch of Nvidia’s RTX 5060 on May 19
- The Radeon RX 9060 XT should be sold in June
It is almost the week of Computex 2025, where Nvidia and AMD will be at the center of the scene with Keynotes presenting new equipment – and Team Red seems ready to surpass its rival on the budget GPU market.
AMD confirmed via an article on X that it will reveal the games and plans from AI to Computex 2025 on May 21. In particular, the image (photo below) shows a rendering of a new Radeon GPU, which is more than probably the alleged Radeon RX 9060 XT. Like the RX 9070 XT counterpart, Team Red also confirms that it will not sell any reference card, which means that the new GPU will only be available for consumers via partners of the Board of Directors.
There will be two variants of the RX 9060 XT, one with 8 GB of VRAM and the other with 16 GB; The first should have lower availability at launch, which should be in June. It has been specified that some players do not want 8 GB GPUs, given their inability to manage graphically demanding games and their performance standards for higher resolutions.
It should be noted that the launch of the NVIDIA RTX 5060 8GB GPU is defined for May 19, which could be mentioned in its speech on the same date. The important thing is that the RTX 5060 will not have a distinct variant (at least what we know so far), while the rival RX 9060 XT, does it. He leaves the red team in pole position to potentially eclipse Nvidia with its unveiling on May 21.
However, the price will be the dealbreaker for both, because consumers expect each GPU to be at low affordable cost – but the market trend says the opposite.

Inflation could be another blow for the new AMD Radeon GPU
Long before the recent American prices, third-party GPUs were set above the launch price at several retailers, and I expect this trend to continue with the new Radeon of AMD.
As he will not sell any reference card, consumers will have to rely on retailers selling partner cards again – and it is sure to say that it did not go well. The Radeon RX 9070 XT was sold to players at its retail price, but only for a limited period, because prices have suddenly increased by leaving the GPU in a less attractive position (because the launch price of $ 599 was a high sales argument).
As much as I no longer want to see 8 GB GPUs, there is no stop for the moment with the 8 GB variant. The only way I see that it is a success is if the price is or less than $ 200, because it can always be a competent card for budgetary players at 1080p. I would love to be wrong, but I don’t think we will see this due to retailers regularly increasing prices (regardless of the AMD price to reveal to Computex 2025).
I think this is one of the worst moments that a low -end GPU could launch without a reference card – I just hope that consumers who are looking forward to the launch have a chance to get their hands before inflation takes over …
