- Colorful Smart 900 is the last AMD Ryzen Ai Max + 395 Mini PC
- 96 GB of LPDDR5X could mean great things for AI and creative workloads
- Dell, Asus and MSI could miss a gold opportunity in compact office compact computers
Colorful would be defined to publish the Smart 900, a new high -end mini PC powered by the Ryzen AI Max + 395 processor.
So far, mini PC offers based on Colorful AMD have been limited to old processors, such as the Ryzen 7,7735h used in the Smart 500A.
The Ryzen Ai Max + 395 in the Smart 900 is APU Current AMD flagship, combining 16 Zen 5 cores with the graphics Radeon 8060S, built on 40 RDNA 3.5 calculation units. This makes it one of the best integrated GPUs available for workloads, creative tasks and games.
Memory and AI performance
The system would include 96 GB of LPDDR5X memory, which is lower than 128 GB seen in some high -end PCs.
However, this figure can refer to a dedicated memory allowance for AI inference tasks, sometimes described as “VRAM” in translation.
Whether it is a hard cap or part of a divided configuration remains uncertain, but it highlights the accent put by the system on the AI and the use cases with high graphic intensity.
The colorful smart 900 has not yet been officially announced by the company, and it did not appear on any of its social networks, so we do not have too much information, such as prices.
However, it seems likely that it will be positioned as a mini work post for professionals working with major media projects.
Currently, only eleven brands have published products with Stix Halo. Notable models include HP Z2 Mini G1A, PC Lenovo LCFC AI and GMKTEC EVO-X2.
What remains confusing is the complete silence of major brands like Dell, Asus and MSI, who have not yet introduced mini PC using the chip.
These companies already offer high -end and high -end products that far exceed the prices of everything that is colored or GMKTEC, so that the price does not seem to be the limiting factor.
Their hesitation can rather come from longer internal validation cycles, more strict thermal standards and reliability, or a delay in alignment with the AMD release calendar.
Another possibility is that these companies prioritize the other AI material strategies, such as discreet GPUs or server quality accelerators, on high -end APUs in compact office computers.
