The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, recently appreciated the constructive and positive role of the United States in the midst of Pakistani-India relations.
During a meeting with American affairs Natalie, a baker and the consul general Kristin K Hawkins, she underlined the active and positive role of the United States and considered it very important to obtain lasting peace in the South Asian region.
Pakistani relations are a precious partnership based on shared values and strategic interests, she said.
The chief minister reaffirmed his opinion to strengthen cordial relations between Punjab and California.
She expressed her solidarity with the people of California to be a sister state and described her meeting with the caucus of American Pakistan as positive and constructive.
She underlined: “Pakistan emerges as a strategic partner for the United States in various sectors, including textiles. Punjab is the largest and most economically dynamic province of the country and hosts American investments and cooperation in several sectors. The Pakistan-American community plays the role of a strong bridge to strengthen cordial relations between the two countries.”
She underlined: “We consider the United States as an important global ally on the confrontation of tremendous challenges such as climate change, food security and sustainable development. The Punjab government wishes to further extend its strategic partnership with the United States.”
Questions related to the strengthening of longtime Pakistani-American relations and improving cooperation in the fields of mutual interest have been discussed at the meeting.
The chief minister thanked Natalie in Baker for supporting Lahore Qalandars in the PSL tournament.
Meanwhile, chief minister Maryam Nawaz declared in her message to the International Day for Dialogue between Civilizations: “The eternal solution to current atrocities in Palestine and the occupied cashmere is only possible by initiating a significant dialogue. The international community must decide and determine whether we will continue to raise the corpses of innocent children or choose peace by dialogue.” She said that dialogue between civilizations is the path necessary to reach peace, progress and safeguard humanity.
The adoption of a culture of respect and tolerance is an effective response to war and hatred.
The chief minister said: “Pakistan is a peaceful country, which has always advocated dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect among the Commites of Nations. We must all understand the spirit of dialogue and abandon the attitude of considering the differences, which triggers undue hostility among nations.”
