ISLAMABAD:

The Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly on Tuesday noted that the Generalized Schemes of Preferences (GSP)-Plus of the European Union have played an important role for Pakistan’s economic growth.

The panel also highlighted that the European Union’s GSP-Plus plays a central role in supporting Pakistan’s sustainable economic growth by granting enhanced trade preferences aimed at promoting sustainable development and accession to 27 international conventions on human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and good governance.
