Andrew Mountbatten Windsor worked behind the scenes to get some one-on-one time with Prince Harry, which has just been claimed.
The revelation comes from a well-placed insider who just sat down with Closer review.
According to their findings, Andrew’s motivations stem from Prince Harry’s decision to refute allegations of a rift between him and his uncle.
According to the source, “he was grateful that Harry went out of his way to deny rumors of a fight between them and would like to thank him for that, while also thinking about ways to cut William down to size together.”
So “if this continues, Andrew will use this as a good excuse to get in touch with Harry, but he’s also trying to pull the strings through his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, who of course are still very close to Harry and Meghan.”
However, “in an ideal world, he would like to start chatting with Harry by phone straight away, and meet face to face the next time he is in the UK.”
Although the source admits that “it may seem like a long time ago, but Andrew is in desperation mode right now and he’s looking for any allies he can hold on to.”
However, back at Buckingham Palace, it seems other members of the royal family are not as enthusiastic, particularly Prince William who was “furious” when the king even agreed to meet his brother during his four-day charity tour of the UK earlier this year.
According to our source, “taking a zero-tolerance approach is something he would like to do with the Sussexes, but to a less urgent extent, as they are no longer in England or prowling around Windsor while living just a stone’s throw from his new home.”
