Kansas City chiefing coach Andy Reid was in his office when a ball crossed his office in the team’s training center in May 2024, according to a report.
Reid was not struck by the ball and no injury was reported to the incident, Kansas City star reported on Wednesday. He would be alone in his office when the ball entered his office and landed in the wall between the bathroom and his door.

The Kansas City police department told the newspaper that no arrest had been made in the case and “there was no indication that it was a targeted incident in anyone or organization”. Sources have declared to the point of sale that two other balls had struck the installation in the same case.
The chiefs did not comment on the incident. Police said the case was investigated like “aggravated assault,” said Kansas City star.

The incident occurred only a few months after the chiefs defeated the 49ers of San Francisco in the Super Bowl LVIII. Kansas City returned to beat San Francisco in this match.
Reid, 67, is considered one of the most efficient head coaches in the history of the NFL, having been with two franchises of his entire career – the Chiefs and the Eagles of Philadelphia.

He won three Super Bowl titles with the chiefs and has a record of 143-53 with them. Overall, it is 273-146-1. He has 301 victories, including the playoffs.
