The match on Saturday afternoon between Indiana fever and Chicago sky was the most watched WNBA match of all time on ESPN, and it was up to expectations.

It was the opening of the season for the two teams, and it was the first battle between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese since last year.

And although the two players publicly said that there was no rivalry or animosity between them, there were fireworks when Clark committed a blatant fault on Reese, and Reese had to be retained.

After the game, the WNBA launched an investigation into alleged hateful comments against Reese. She said last year that Clark, Indiana and fans of Iowa University, had been racist towards her throughout the season.

In the middle of the investigation, a user of Tiktok published a video which said that saying that there is a “rivalry” between the two teams and the players, would be “inappropriate … with regard to the gravity to be accomplished”.

“The situation is that when Angel Reese enters the fever of Indiana, it is no longer safe. It is not safe, because there are fans of Indiana fever which are racist, who will treat it as if it was not a human being, who will occur insults and threats,” said the user.

ESPN Star suggests that Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese The incident has become a subject of discussion for more than racial reasons

“You all knew that it was going to happen. You all knew that the environment was not sure for Angel.”

Reese republished the video on his own account.

Clark spoke of the investigation into the alleged comments, claiming that there is “no place” for such a speech.

“There is no room for that in our game,” Clark told journalists, via the Indy Star. “”There is no room for this in society. Admittedly, we want each person who enters our arena, be it the player, be it a fan, to have great experience.

“I appreciate that the League will do it.
