In a recent interview with PK Press Club Digital, Sorenstam remembers having played with Clark on the golf course and said that she was a “big fan” after meeting the young basketball player.
“It’s great, obviously, I’m a big fan, and a big fan after having met her and spending time, a very concentrated big athlete, understands when you have a task to do it,” she said. “Obviously, she has a small golf bottom, so she knows sport and understands it to have culture and have a little tradition.

Clark said at a leadership summit linked to the pro-Am in November that she tries to practice as much as she could.
“I tried to take as much time as possible to practice, but there is only so much hope. You just cross your fingers, pray,” she said at the time. “No, I practiced a little and I just had the quote to become a professional golfer. Everyone thought I was serious. I was not serious. I love it. I love being outside and making it competitive with my friends.
“It’s difficult and getting here and being the best and having a good time, that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
