- The United States will receive another series of Xbox console price increases
- They will take effect from October 3, 2025
- Microsoft cites “changes in the macroeconomic environment”
You may want to buy an Xbox Xbox series as soon as the console should receive another price increase in the United States at the beginning of next month.
The official Xbox website has announced the upcoming change, accompanied by a PDF that decomposes price increases that will affect Xbox Series X and Xbox Series Sries S from October 3, 2025.
Price changes are as follows:

The Xbox Series consoles will receive the lightest price increases, but Xbox Series XBox consoles have been the most difficult. Even the Xbox Series X Digital Edition and Xbox Series X Galaxy Black Special Edition feel the burn, with huge hikes of $ 50 and $ 70 respectively.
Xbox’s assistance page explains that price increases are “due to changes in the macroeconomic environment” in the United States, which can refer to the import prices set up by the country’s current administration.
Otherwise, Xbox added: “We understand that these changes are difficult, and they have been made with particular attention. In the future, we continue to focus on the offer in more ways to play more games on any screen and bring value to Xbox players.”
The Xbox Series X will be a particularly difficult sale now, because its new price costs only $ 50 shy from the $ 699.99 of the PS5 Pro. The Sony console, in comparison, offers increased performance on the PlayStation 5 basis and current Xbox consoles, and can therefore be the one to choose in the future if you have money and you are on the market for a powerful current generation system.
These latest price increases are exclusive in the United States for the moment, without immediate plans for more increase to strike other markets such as the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
