- Apple added the range of iPhone 15 to its official store pages renovated in the United States and the United Kingdom
- Customers can now buy official iPhones at Apple certified for substantial discounts
- The discounts vary from $ 110 / £ 110 for the basic iPhone model at $ 230 for the iPhone 15 pro Max with 1 TB of storage
Apple has updated its renovated store certified in the United States and the United Kingdom, adding the entire iPhone 15 range to these online stores at reduced prices.
The iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will now be available in renovated condition certified by Apple via the online store in the two countries, subject to availability.
As is standard for Apple certified renovated products, customers can expect reasonably impressive savings on the renovated iPhone 15 range.
The cheapest model in the range – the iPhone 15 with 128 GB of storage – checks $ 619 / £ 589, a saving of $ 110 / £ 110 of the launch price of $ 829 / £ 799 (keep in mind that the renovated iPhones are unlocked, which adds a small bonus to the American starting price).
At the upper end, the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage is available at $ 1,269 – it is a solid $ 230 on the new price.
There is currently no model of 1 TB of the iPhone 15 Pro Max available on the renovated British certified store, but by looking at the other models, we would touch £ 230 mirror, resulting in a price of £ 1,269.
So, is that a good deal? Or is it better to look elsewhere? It depends on a few key factors.
First, with regard to the Apple certified renovated, the price is not the full story.
As we recently pointed out as part of Techradar’s sustainability week, Apple certified iPhones are all equipped with a new battery and a new external shell, as well as all the necessary internal components, which are always official apples or other parts of the first part.
The renovated handsets are then packed in new boxes with new cables and accessories, and once purchased are covered by a one -year warranty with free delivery and returns. It is a fairly robust process that adds a lot of value, in particular compared to the second -hand purchase via a market like eBay.
Of course, Apple will always sell you a whole new iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus if you want one, but I suggest saving your money and buy from the renovated Apple certified store instead, unless the latter lacks color or desired storage option.
As for third -party retailers, history is a little more complex. In the United Kingdom, Amazon offers the iPhone 15 for £ 598, while the United States, the only announcements that I could find concerned renewed phones-Amazon Renewed is generally considered to be at a level of quality lower than that renovated Apple certified.
Best Buy has the new iPhone 15 for $ 579.99 in the United States, but only if you get a locked operator – it increases up to $ 679.99 for the unlocked model. And back in the United Kingdom, John Lewis offers the iPhone 15 from £ 599, but with a two-year warranty from the retailer as well as the one-year warranty from Apple.
With other models, retailers are closer to the correspondence of the certified renovated price-John Lewis at the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage for £ 1,299 in the United Kingdom, but I did not find equivalent in the United States, where most of the options are locked.
This is to say that there are many options available, and although the renovated Apple certified store offers high value with a solid warranty in the first part, it is important to consider what suits you.
However, with the iPhone 15 Pro and the officially abandoned iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus likely to follow later this year, it could be a timely moment to collect one of the best recent memory iPhones.
