- A well -known analyst predicts a launch in 2026 for AirPods Pro 3
- Some advice had previously suggested that they appear this year
- The new cameras recognizing the gestures are among the rumor upgrades
Apple launched the AirPods Pro 2 in September 2022, and always repels new features for them – but it seems that we had to wait until next year before the Apple AirPods Pro 3 was the day.
According to industry analyst Jeff PU (via @jukanlosreve), the Airpod Pro 3 are planned for a 2026 version. This would mean four full years between launches, after a three -year difference between original AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2.
We do not get much more information beyond this particular leak, but that means that you can have a little more time to save to get the next pair of Apple premium headphones. The 4th generation version of the standard AirPods was launched last September.
We had our hopes for a launch in 2025 for the Apple Airpods Pro 3 after the code mentioning the headphones was spotted in iOS 26. Nothing is certain anyway, but a launch this year now seems less likely.
What we think we know so far

There have certainly been a lot of leaks and rumors around the AirPods Pro 3 since 2022, so we have a fairly good idea of what happens – even if we have to wait a little longer for the great unveiling of these improved headphones.
One of the main changes that would be brought is the introduction of tiny infrared cameras on the Pro AirPods. The purpose of these apparently would be to capture gestures to control the headphones.
There will of course be some improvements in audio quality – which we would certainly expect after a four -year gap between the models – and there have also been discussions that we will also see a certain number of health monitoring improvements.
Hopefully the price is something that does not change: the two previous models of AirPods Pro had a starting price of $ 249 / £ 249 / $ 399 at, and we hope that Apple will not have to increase this price next time.
