- A new rumor suggests that Apple could move the logo to the iPhone 17 Pro
- The logo could go down to make room for the new camera bar and align with the Magsafe magnet ring
- Although a minor change could give an overview of Apple priorities
Apple could make a change to an iplematic iPhone design element with the release of the iPhone 17 Pro.
According to new rumors of somewhat reliable Tipster Majin BU (via GSMARENA), Apple could move its logo to a lower position on the rear panel of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The possible change was corroborated in an X message (formerly Twitter) of Apple Sonny Dickson’s forecaster, who applied that this decision could align the logo with the Magsafe Magsafe ring of the phone.
You may think that a logo moving a few centimeters is not a huge story in itself – and in all honesty, you would be right. This one is not too important.
However, I think that this last rumor of design has the potential to say a lot about Apple’s priorities with regard to the next generation of iPhone.
Aesthetic alterations
This logo teepecker is the last of a fairly long list of overhaul rumors concerning the iPhone 17 range, in particular the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
In fact, it seems to me that the strongest and most repeated rumors surrounding the next Iphones of pro level have concerned the design and aesthetics of supposed combinations.
As we mentioned earlier, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max would have a Google Pixel type camera bar, a wild gap compared to the design philosophy directed by the function of previous generations. Several distinct rumors have given us a glance at CAD models and dummy units which seem to confirm the modified design.
Although we have heard of a higher resolution possible telephoto lens, as well as the murmurs of a unified volume and action button and an under-sufficient face identifier, it seems that we can be lighter in a lighter year with regard to new iPhone hardware features.
Considered change or concealment?
All this brings a new context to the new placement of supposed logo – which was previously a fairly harmless design update begins to look like interference to find something to change.
And although all of this is based on rumors at the moment, if Apple had to launch the iPhone 17 Pro with only iterative or less impactful material improvements, these design reshuffles would begin to look like an effort to attract attention elsewhere.
Not too long ago, Apple faced considerable counterpouss to launch the iPhone 14 in a state very similar to the iPhone 13 – Cupertino would be wise to avoid a similar situation this year.
That said, it is also possible that Apple simply seeks to refresh the visual identity of its new generation handsets, to correspond to the new look of the liquid glass design language with iOS 26.
Thus, although the change of an Apple logo of a few centimeters may not seem the biggest story, it is worth keeping an eye on these small changes as we get closer to the expected launch date of the iPhone 17 series.
