Apple has unveiled a new major medical study that could completely change our way of thinking technology, health, research and medicine.
The Apple health study “aims to better understand how technology can play a role in the progress and improvement of physical health, mental health and general well-being”. This includes the best iPhones, Apple Watchs and Airpods from Apple. The new study is available in Apple’s research application, and “will also explore the relationships between various fields of health, such as the impact of mental health on heart rate, or how sleep can influence the exercise”.
The study is conducted in collaboration with the main research and affiliate of Harvard Teaching Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Apple says he hopes to help solve one of the biggest medical research problems – a limited number of participants and data. The company claims that more than 350,000 people in the United States participated in previous studies for health, hearing and health and heart movements of women. Here are the details and how you can get involved.
The most ambitious study of Apple’s health to date?
Apple claims that the new study “aims to understand how technology data – including Apple and Third Party devices – can be used to predict, detect, monitor and manage changes in the health of participants” and will also explore the links between the different areas of health.
It extends over a multitude of different areas of health and diseases, including activity, aging, cardiovascular health, circulatory health, cognition, hearing, mental health, mental health, metabolic health , mobility, neurological health, respiratory health and sleep. Previously, Apple has focused its studies on one of these areas, such as hearing, making this new most ambitious study to date.
Apple says that the new study “is designed to explore health changes and how technology can help identify important information for the future development of products,” noting that when an aspect of health changes, the body can issue a physical or emotional signal. The identification of these changes can help to offer a more proactive health approach, with surveillance made using health features such as sleep apnea detection on Apple Watch Series 10.
The best song? If you live in the United States, you can participate. If you meet the minimum age requirements, you can register for registration via Apple’s search application. Participants can do tasks and ask questions and read research. As you can imagine with Apple, you can choose exactly the data you do and do not share, and you can withdraw at any time.
