Regarding Apple’s native applications, I never really felt the desire to experiment, in particular with Apple Journal, because I was more than satisfied with the Notes application for things such as monitoring my training routine or the creation of a shopping list. However, with the announcement of the six new newspaper features, Apple encourages me to become a little more creative with the way I use its native applications to get my daily life.
Apple Journal receives essential TLC
The six new additions coming to Apple Journal cover both creative and practical functions, so it is not only a question of amplifying the visual element of your journal, but of optimizing the formatting and functionalities of the organization in the application itself.
The first feature is the possibility of creating several journals, so that you can document different types of entries and better organize them. This also allows you to have a clear view of your various journals, and with the help of the view interface of the new practical card, you can display your entries according to the locations in which you have created them.
Third, you will soon have more control over the entries you want to keep, throw and review. Have you ever deleted an entry and have you immediately regretted it? Apple takes this feared feeling by introducing a function that allows you to restore recently deleted newspaper entries – similar to the “recently deleted” folder.
Finally, in addition to its new improved research function, Apple Journal presents new creative features to give you the freedom to create newspaper entries that shout “you” – starting with online images.
Instead of being limited to the media section designated in an entrance, you can add images to appear online with texts, adopting the appearance of a physical journal or an album.
Speaking of physical journals, one of the best pieces is to be able to write your notes by hand, an element that Apple brings to the newspaper. With the deployment of iOS 26, you will have the freedom to create your own drawings and text written by hand, which you can add to the entries.
