Apple has unveiled iOS 26, a major software update for the iPhone which introduces a redesigned look, smarter tools and improvements to daily applications.

The update brings a more dynamic and personal sensation through the system, while retaining familiar layout users. The goal is to make the iPhone experience more pleasant and easier to use.

At the heart of the update is Apple Intelligence, the company’s privacy system. It is now more powerful and woven in more areas of the iPhone, helping users to do things faster and more efficiently.

Telephone and messages applications are also more intelligent. Apple says that updates will facilitate people to stay in contact more easily while helping to cut interruptions like unwanted calls.

Other popular applications such as Carplay, Apple Music, Maps and Wallet also receive new features. In addition, Apple is launching a new application called Apple Games, giving users a central place to find and manage their games.

The update should be deployed later this year.

“IOS 26 shines with the new magnificent design and significant improvements to the features that users have every day, which makes the iPhone even more useful,” said Craig Federighi, main vice-president of Apple software engineering.

“The experiences are more expressive and more personal, from the locking screen and the home screen, to new capacities on the phone and the messages that help users focus on connections that matter most. And with new powerful intelligence capacities integrated into the system, users can advance things easier than ever.”

The latest Apple iOS update has a new design that gives the iPhone a more lively and personalized atmosphere, while keeping the familiar layout for longtime users.

In the center of the overhaul is a characteristic called Liquid Glass – a new transparent visual effect which subtly reflects its environment. He adds depth and development in the system, navigation checks to application icons and widgets.

This new look extends to the home screen and the locking screen, which now offers more users to personalize the appearance of their devices. Application icons and widgets can now take a clear and polite style, giving users more freedom to adapt the look of their iPhone on their personal taste.

Apple says that the goal is to make the experience not only more visually attractive but also more engaging and easier to use.
