It’s almost this time of year: WWDC time. The Global Conference of Apple developers is an annual event, where it reveals to developers and the rest of us what is happening in terms of software updates. This covers iOS, iPados, MacOS, Watchos, Tvos and Visionos, so it’s always an excited program.
Regarding the official news of WWDC 2025, all we really know is when it happens. Officially, there have been a ton of leaks and rumors alluding to what will happen – and we have collected them here so that you can prepare for the big day.
If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, we will obtain beta versions of some of these updates shortly after the end of WWDC 2025, followed by complete launches later in the year. Regarding iOS 19 (or iOS 26) for example, the software should start taking place on Iphones in September to coincide with the launch of the iPhone 17.

WWDC 2025: When is it?
This year’s WWDC takes place on Monday, June 9, as announced by Apple.
There are meetings and presentations all week, but most of the main advertisements will be made by Tim Cook and his colleagues in an opening speech that launches the event: this should start at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. and / 6 p.m. of the United Kingdom (it is at 3 a.m. on June 10, for those of you in Australia).
As usual, the cover will be live on the web, and here is how to look at it.

WWDC 2025: What can we expect?
It seems that WWDC 2025 will be particularly busy, based on rumors and speculation that we have encountered in the race for the event. Keep in mind that none of this is yet official, but here is what we expect.
A major software brand change
We expected iOS 19 to follow iOS 18, as you would, but a reliable source says that Apple plans to appoint the next iPhone iphone operating system iOS 26 – to correspond to the year 2026, even if it is launched in the third quarter of 2025.
Not only that, but the rumor is that each Apple software platform will be renamed. This would fix the rather confusing situation we have now, where macOS, tvos, watchos and visionos are all on different version numbers.
It would be quite a jump in some cases – from Visionos 2 to Visionos 26 – but it would make it more coherent. It will also be interesting to see which devices will be eligible for the next updates.
Remained interfaces
Another leak that emerged in advance suggests that most Apple software platforms will get a modern visual refreshment-which in fact corresponds to the least used of these platforms, Visionos.
From what we have heard, it seems that the new look will be more consistent, simpler and with more use of translubled and glass elements. We have actually seen clues in the official invitation to WWDC 2025.
In addition, the slogan of the event is “elegant” – pointing towards something that implies a visual overhaul. It could be the largest update of the aesthetics of Apple software and applications since iOS 7, all in 2014.
Improvement of large applications
In addition to refreshing the underlying operating systems, Apple tends to record all its advertisements for updating individual applications for WWDC 2025. This year, it has been subject to what messages get an automatic translation and support for surveys, for example.
The same leak predicts animated album art on the locking screen when you listen to your songs in Apple Music, as well as the possibility of exporting notes in Markdown format. An overhaul of the Carplay interface has also been planned.
Apparently, a dedicated game application is also on the way to Apple devices, a central center where all your games, cats, rankings and other games related to the game can live and synchronize on your different gadgets.
Not a lot of Apple Intelligence
Apple has recently made its doors to AI, like almost all other business technology companies – but after several delays on the deployment of Apple Intelligence, it seems that we do not get a lot of new IA ads at WWDC 2025.
It is according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who is generally reliable with regard to Apple predictions. Apparently, it will be quite silent on the Siri front, while Apple engineers come together and ensure that the next update is polite.
We can always see some Apple Intelligence adjustments, such as battery optimizations, but do not expect too much in terms of AI – even if it is possible that Apple opens its platforms to more third -party voice assistants.
More leaks and rumors
This is not quite the end of leaks and rumors with regard to WWDC 2025. Software updates for Apple AirPods would be adding features such as camera control, support for more gestures and a new MIC mode.
Then there is Apple Watch: we will not see new equipment at WWDC 2025, but we suspect that Apple could very well present new follow -up features in Watchos, as well as a point of Apple Intelligence’s features.
Without a doubt, Apple will have surprises in store, so join us on June 9 for the full story: we will direct a live blog alongside Apple fast updates, because we hear everything related to its software plans for the rest of the year.
