Apple seems to be set to upgrade the image game image in iOS 26, with a new code in the latest beta version suggesting that users could soon use third -party IA image generators other than Chatgpt.
Revalled by 9TO5MAC, the new code alludes to the “estimated latency” and adds identifiers from the supplier, which means that we will probably see other IA image generation tools outside Openai in the Apple Stock Image play field.
This would be an incredibly exciting addition to Apple Intelligence, and align with the previous reports of Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, who said that Apple could present Google AI products in the iphones in the future, for example to feed Siri.
Google is currently the trailblazer in the AI image generation, with its latest model, Nano Banana, offering the best way to transform your text into images. Nano Banana also offers IA image editing capacities that would really improve the experience of the image playing field if they were introduced.
Image Playground is accessible on compatible devices running iOS 26, iPados 26 and MacOS 26, and now has Chatppt capacities as well as on Apple’s own LLM for image generation.
Although we have no idea when more third -party image generators will be introduced in Image Playground, this code found refers to a huge upgrade to the native application.
An opportunity playground
The prospect of having tools for generation of IA II of suppliers like Google integrated in the image of image games on iOS seems absolutely fantastic.
I do not often use the AI image generation tools, but have a native application that allows you to draw on very competent tools on the market without having to open a third -party application would really push Apple Intelligence and AI AI AI AI.
Image Playground is limited to saying the least, and although it has been improved with iOS 26 by adding certain Chatgpt features, this could become even better if Apple brings Banana aboard Nano Banana from Gemini.
Obviously, nothing is confirmed for the moment, but these conclusions soon suggest a very great upgrade of Apple intelligence, and I just hope that this will materialize.
