- Apple’s first intelligent house center could be launched the latest this year
- It will look like a cross between a homepod and an iPad
- A more advanced device with a robotic arm can launch a year or two later
If you have followed Apple News, you may have heard the rumor that the company works on a domestic center that looks like a cross between a homepod and an iPad. Given Apple Pedigree, it has the potential to become one of the best intelligent households, and it now seems that the device could be launched at the end of 2025.
It is according to Mark Gurman de Bloomberg, who affirmed in his power on the newsletter that we could get our hands on this product “by the end of this year at the earliest” (although it is not yet placed in stone). This could mark Apple’s attempt to dominate the smart house and do more establishment in artificial intelligence (AI) – which he hopes that his Apple intelligence platform will be a key element.
1. A new operating system that draws tvos
Interested in this device? We have already heard a few things about it, and it is certainly promised to be a catchy addition to the list of Apple products. This is due in part to the fact that Apple will work on a brand new operating system for the product, potentially named Homeos, based on TVOS and will include Siri and Apple Intelligence prominently.
2. The display will be the focal point
Second, the key focal point of the so-called Homepad will be its display. Here, rumors have indicated a 7 -inch screen with a thick bezel, with a front camera mounted on the upper edge. The latter will reflect the emphasis on the use of the device for video calls.
3. The intelligent display will support applications and will postpone popular iPhone functionality
The third point is that Apple applications will of course be supported. And finally, you can expect certain features of other applications, such as the iPhone watch dashboard. The emphasis, however, will remain on the control of your connected intelligent home devices.
4. Eyes on the price ai
Apple has never really adopted the smart house since some rivals have. Of course, you can control connected products using Homekit and the Home application, but they have their problems. Beyond that, there is also a surprising lack of Apple brand equipment in this space. All this could change in the next year or two.
But the intelligent house is not here the real target of Apple – it is artificial intelligence. AI is a huge and booming market at the moment, and Apple has already been late due to its well-documented difficulties with its Apple Intelligence platform, with a multitude of delayed and missing features.
Like many technological companies, Apple wants to integrate its AI into the greatest number of customers as possible, so the launch of an intelligent domestic center has a lot of meaning in this regard: this gives Apple another way of calling customers who may not be convinced by Apple Intelligence so far.
It is not the only intelligent house product on which rumors claim that Apple works, however. The company also has something in its round which would include a screen at the end of a robotic arm, which allows it to move at will. This more advanced product is not expected before “a year or two” after the launch of the Homepad, however, while Gurman adds that Apple “fired more daring features from the device” in order to prepare it faster.
Time is petrol, and Apple is too aware of it. With its first home hub potentially launched later this year, we will soon find out if Apple’s efforts are worth waiting or need more time in the oven.
