The first accused in the abduction and murder case of Mustafa Amir, Armaghan, was reportedly responsible for the supply of hundreds of young people in drugs and also submitted several girls and boys to torture, a government lawyer informed the Court Anti -terrorism (ATC) on Wednesday.

The case concerns the alleged abduction and murder of a BBA student after having disappeared on January 6. During the procedure today, Armaghan was produced before the court by the police.

The whole saga took place after the main accused opened fire in a team from the anti -violent crime cell (stroke) – a specialized Karachi police unit responsible for fighting the cases related to murder and extortion – during a raid at his residence at the DHA in Karachi on February 8.

At the start of the hearing, the lawyer informed the court that the accused was “a very intelligent person” and that the investigation team has not yet recovered the gun from the accused’s murder.

Developing more, the lawyer added that Armaghan had stayed in Skardu after committing the crime and returned to Karachi by road. He also said that a medical-legal examination was necessary for the 64 laptops seized with the accused’s residence.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions have also launched an investigation, an investigator said the ATC judge, adding that they were to recover the murder weapon.

The government’s lawyer added that the accused always made revelations, therefore, he should be sent to pre -trial detention until March 10.

The judge asked how many cases have been filed against the accused. The lawyer said that Armaghan was also faced with cases filed by the Department of Terrorism (CTD).

The court then questioned the period for the submission of an accusation sheet. The government’s lawyer replied that the investigation has not yet ended and again asked for an extension of Armaghan’s pre -trial detention.

The court accepted the plea and extended the accused’s pre -trial detention until March 10.

In another development today, the co-accused, Shiraz, was sent to prison in pre-trial detention by ATC.

The whole saga took place after Armaghan opened fire in a team from the anti -violent crime cell (stroke) – a specialized Karachi police unit responsible for combating cases related to murder and extortion – during a raid at his residence in Karachi Dha earlier this month.

The body of the deceased – found by the police in a car near the Hub control point on January 12 and buried by the EDHI Foundation on January 16 – was then exhumed and buried thereafter after a first DNA profiling report confirmed that the mortal remains belonged to Mustafa.

Earlier, we learned that the arrest of Armaghan and Sahir Hasan, son of a renowned actor, disrupted the operations of the drug cartel in the high -end districts of Karachi, the news reported.

With possible facets of money laundering, fraud and an illegal call center, the investigation also disentangled the presence of an alleged drug trafficking in said case.

The resulting repression led to the end of the marijuana offer – commonly called bad grass – causing massive financial losses to drug traffickers.

The murder of Amir and subsequent arrests have exhibited several aspects of a drug cartel that have been operating in Karachi for years.
