An army football player is praised like a hero after he and his father jumped into the action in the state new York During the weekend, withdraw a man from a disabled vehicle for a few moments before he makes flames.
Larry Pickett Jr., a second-year cadet at the United States Military Academy in West Point and security for the Army black knights, Spent the weekend with his family after Friday evening’s match against Tarleton State.

On the way back to the campus on Saturday evening, Larry Jr. remembers getting out of the car with his father, Larry Pickett SR., to check the electric lines slaughtered when they saw a car that had crashed in an electric pole.

“My father and I got out of the car, ran to this car and saw that there was a gentleman who needed help,” he said during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
A video shared by his father on social networks showed at the painful moment that the two loaded towards the vehicle, released the man and brought him to security. The electricity of the power lines could be heard slamming in the background.
The video quickly cut towards the white sedan engulfed in flames.

“Thank you Jesus that this man will live to see another day! I am so grateful to my son LJ for having saved his life! Not only does he have an impact in class and on the football field of the United States Military Academy in West Point, but he also makes a difference in his community,” wrote Larry Sr. in a post on Facebook.

“Right after midnight, I looked with admiration my son, Larry Pickett Jr., ran to a fire vehicle, ignoring the slaughtered electric lines.
The Fort Montgomery fire service has confirmed that a vehicle has hit a public service post on Route 9W and “has completely engulfed by the flames”.
In a press release published on X, West Point congratulated Larry Jr. for his courageous actions.
“We are proud of the heroic actions taken on Saturday evening by the Cadet Larry Pickett JR, a second -year cadet and a @Armywp_football player, and his father who is seen drawn a driver in safety in an online video taken by the family. Their actions are the incarnation of the @usarmy values.”

Larry Jr. is entering his second season with the Black Knights after a successful football career at Enloe High School in North Carolina where he won two honors of all states and three times the honors of all conferences.
He saw no action in the first year but recorded a tackle during his university debut against Tarleton State Friday.
